Products
FlexForm is a non-woven composite material made from a blend of natural fibers and synthetic fibers. It is an excellent substitute for many existing wood fiber, wood flour and fiberglass reinforced plastics. It is available in various formats for a variety of heating capabilities prior to molding:
FlexForm MT (Non-woven mat)
Flexible non-woven mat is used in a contact oven with optional forced hot air preheat, for 3D applications. Available in roll goods or sheets
Made from Bast Fibers, an annually grown crop unlike wood products that take years to replace and fiber glass that is destructive to the environment, difficult to handle and uses significant fossil fuels to produce
FlexForm LD (Low density board)
Preprocessed to allow use in forced hot air heating systems for 2D and 3D applications. Allows for variable geometry in forming. Is an ideal tack board. Available in sheets.
FlexForm can be made in varying densities and sizes depending on customer requirements.
FlexForm HD (High density hardboard)
Fully compressed sheet to be used in infra-red or convection ovens for 2D and 3D applications. Available in sheets.
When designing composite materials, more natural fiber generally provides higher tensile strengths at lower cost. Higher polymer content increases the plasticity required for deeper draws and more complex 3D parts. Mats and panels can be multi-layered for a variety of applications. Performance features such as increased fire resistance and greater dimensional stability can be engineered into custom formulations.
FlexForm NFAC (Resin Impregnated Material)
Our latest addition to the product line. NFAC is for high heat applications. It is a water based acrylic resin-impregnated material. This product is formed in a hot mold to set the resin in the desired geometric shape.
Standard sizes:
Weight: 600 to 2400 grams/m2
Widths: Up to 3.5m (11.25 feet) depending on product type
